#Thailand#Mukdahan#Mueang Mukdahan#Attraction Ho Kaeo Mukdahan is a symbolic tourist attraction of Mukdahan. It is a cylindrical tower with seven floors, standing prominently as a symbol of the city. The purpose of establishing this tower is to honor the occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua's 50th Enthroned Anniversary. It is 65.50 meters high tower, with a diameter of six meters. The base is a 2-story building with a nine-square shape standing for the reign of King Rama 9.
- The observatory is at the bottom, next to the top of the dome. It is a circular air-conditioned area with a surrounding glass wall. This viewpoint is 50 meters above the floor, making visitors can see the scenery around the city. It is also a very charming sunset viewpoint.
- The tower core is 29.6 meters high with 321 stair steps, 6 meters wide and 6 meters in diameter. There is an elevator and a spiral staircase facilitating people to go up to the observatory conveniently. There are also periodic rest platforms inside.
- The base of Ho Kaeo Mukdahan is a 2-story building with a nine-square shape. The first floor displays tools and utensils for the living of the Mukdahan people. The second floor exhibits the history of Mukdahan, antiques, old photographs, and the costumes of the eight ethnic Thai people.
- The specialness is on the 6th floor. There is a telescope to see the view, making visitors can see the surrounding scenery excellently. On the highest point, there is "Mukdahan Crystal Ball," a round-shape ball of white mist from Germany. The service facility is an elevator.
